Five UK Halloween Parties That Are Actually Worth Your Time

The words “Halloween special” do not always guarantee anything especially memorable. Decorations change, costumes appear and ticket prices rise, but the underlying party can remain stubbornly ordinary.

A handful of UK promoters have made a more convincing effort in 2026. These five events would carry worthwhile lineups without the seasonal branding, which is precisely why they deserve attention.

Appetite At Ironworks, London

Appetite’s Halloween takeover begins at midday and runs for ten hours inside East London venue Ironworks.

Groove Armada headline in DJ mode, offering considerably more than a run through familiar hits. Tom Findlay and Andy Cato have spent decades moving between house, disco, dub and electronic music, making them well suited to an extended daytime setting.

Sidney Charles brings a current club perspective, while Egyptian Lover represents an earlier chapter of electro and dancefloor culture. Flora Tha Explora and RTK Tarantino round out a lineup with genuine historical and stylistic range.

Living Dead Festival, Cardiff And Birmingham

Living Dead Festival places production at the centre of simultaneous events at Tramshed Cardiff and XOYO Birmingham.

Life-size decorations, giant inflatables and walk-under installations will reshape both venues. However, the music remains tied to each location.

Cardiff welcomes Mena Rosa, Sounds of the ZK, Liam Phillips, Charles Burrows and Teekay. Birmingham turns to Faraz, Harbison and Holland for its house-focused main room. That regional approach prevents the two editions from feeling like identical touring packages.

Halloween Carnival Of The Dead, Bristol

The tenth Halloween Carnival of the Dead brings 4AM Kru to The Prospect Building.

The live jungle duo should suit the scale and physicality of the former military warehouse. Oppidan adds one of UK garage’s fastest-rising names, while Lou Nour and Chimpo B2B Selectacee strengthen the multi-genre programme.

Running from 2pm until 10pm, it offers a full rave experience without requiring an overnight finish.

Groundwork At Quarters, Brighton

Brighton provides something smaller through Groundwork at Quarters.

Soul Mass Transit System and Captain Wallop headline from 11pm until 4am, supported by Silva Snipa and Vergano. The combination of UK garage, breaks and bass should work naturally inside Quarters’ central-booth layout.

Slapfunk And Ruckus24, Leeds

The weekend’s strongest option for dedicated underground house fans could be Slapfunk and Ruckus24 at TESTBED.

Dr Banana, Locklead and Dungeon Meat lead a lineup built around distinct selectors rather than obvious seasonal headliners. Reeshy and Isabelle Koci B2B Noidmate add further depth.

None of these events relies entirely on Halloween to generate interest. The costumes and production create the occasion, but the programming gives each party a reason to exist beyond one night of the year.
